Information and Camping

Look here for all of the questions that you've got about the event...

When is it?
Todstock takes place on  Sat 6th August 2011 12 noon - 9pm Sun 7th August 2011 12 noon - 6pm on Todmorden's Centre Vale Park. Directions to the event will appear on this site in the next few weeks.

Where is it?
Centre Vale Park, Todmorden,

Is it really Free?

Yes. The aim is to provide a full weekend of free music via 10 stages from loads of musicians and DJs in and around these valleys willing to give their time up for free in order to give you a good time. There's loads of bands, acoustic artists, electro, reggae, breaks, dubstep, fidget, disco and house DJs. All free.

But isn't it in aid of local charities?
Yes also. That's the idea. We're giving it to you free and you can stump up a few quid for charity if you feel like it. There'll be people at the entrance collecting, but just give what you can afford. If you have a good time, just give your change on the way out. Simple. No pressure and hopefully we'll raise a few quid for some worthy causes.

We're working with the Upper Calder Charities Assist organisation and people like the Sophie Lancaster Foundation, for example. Since Sophie's death on August 24th 2007, following the horrific attack on her and her partner Rob in Stubbeylee Park, Bacup, Lancashire, a foundation was created in her name to focus on creating respect for and understanding of subcultures in our communities. (See our charities page for more details.)  Todstock is a perfect example of that. A varied community from throughout these valleys celebrating the musical talent that exist here. Experiencing every type of music - so that you find what you like and have a good time. Don't feel you have to give, but if everyone just gave two quid for 2 days of 6 stages of music and we had two thousand people - that's £4 grand for local charities like sophies. That's got to be worth something.

Can I Drink?
No Alcohol will be for sale on the Todstock site. You can bring your own cans and plastic bottles, so make sure you pour any liquids in glass bottles into plastic ones before you come. We want to keep the licence for a bigger event next year, so please respect our wishes. Any antisocial or drunken behaviour will not be tolerated, so pace yourself. Drink loads of water if it's sunny. Let's have a good one. Drink responsibly. Recycle your empties.

Can I Camp?
Not onsite. Bear in mind that there are other alternatives.
